Trauma Informed San Jose

Trauma Informed San Jose, a committee within San Jose Strong, welcomes any BIPOC/POC survivors of sexual assault, IPV, DV, or any other form of abuse to find community within this group. This is an intentional space for QTBIPOC survivors, who are so often left out of survivor narratives, to heal, co-exist, validate, affirm, love, believe, and support each other.

The mission of Trauma Informed San Jose is to foster trauma-informed intersectionality-minded communities that promote healing and well-being through collaboration, education, and community engagement.

Our vision is for there to be a trauma informed San Jose.

Our mission and values were inspired by Tiombe Wallace.

Notes

Since this committee handles sensitive subject matter, the remaining members identities will remain anonymous.

We are striving to collaborate and work in partnership with other individuals and organizations in the community, including the YWCA, to support our mission and vision. We loved our first collaboration with YWCA as we co-hosted an event called (RE)IMAGINE: OUR COMMUNITY FREE FROM SEXUAL VIOLENCE.
