Web Dev
The web development team started with the inception of San Jose Strong when the organization needed a place to display and share information with the community. Francis Beckert, at the time a senior in high school, spearheaded the efforts alongside Mary, the design team, and a couple of volunteers. With the help of all of these people, the San Jose Strong website was created. The original website was built with React and supported by AWS on the backend. We have now moved to Webflow.
App Dev
The app development community started in 2021, when the organization realized it needed a more accessible and portable way to communicate with the San Jose community that wasn't owned by a profit driven company. Led by Pip, the app committee has been working on an IOS / Android cross compatible application that has important information from the SJS website like the newsletter, announcements, business hub, organization hub, and the calendar.
Database Dev
The database development committee works to document as many organizations and businesses available in SJ/South Bay, working directly with the website and app team to showcase these things on our website and app. This team works directly with community members to develop these needed databases for the community.
