The Calendar Admin Team curates and maintains a running calendar of community events for you to tap into!
Free community events, fun opportunities, intentional, educational, political, social justice, musical, events, vendor markets, creative expressions, and hosted by a wide variety of community groups - as long as these events are in line with SJS values, we are happy to add the event to our calendar to promote fun ways for folks to spend their time and energy in San José!
Weekly, we collaborate with the artist team to produce an Instagram post containing highlights of what events, in-person and virtual, San Jose has to offer in the upcoming week. Make sure to check in on @sanjose_strong on Instagram every Friday night to see what’s coming up soon!
History
In August of 2020, the committee began as a simple spreadsheet project to track protests and planned actions to demonstrate against police violence. As protests became fewer in number, we began tracking other community events that needed attention, attendance, and amplification!
