Music and Arts
Founded in Summer 2020, the Music and Arts committee works to support and center San Jose’s artists and to use art to support a better and more equitable San Jose. In the past two years, we’ve put on SJ Fam Fest and Queer Homecoming, and supported SJ Film Collective’s Short Film Festival, Triple A Movement’s Live Stream Ralley, and More Más Marami Art’s SJ Sounds, supporting over 70 local artists.
Now, this team is an as-needed network of resident creatives who support SJS committees when music comes into play. Recent examples include providing a sound system for High School Fellow, Ash's, Culture Tunes Festival and an upcoming exhibit space for the Love Letters 2 SJ team
